Some people believe marriage is nicer the second time around; but some wouldn’t even entertain the possibility of getting married again after their first marriage ended in divorce, or loss.
Advantages of 2nd or 3rd time marriages include:
You know the type of contract you are about to sign and the lifestyle you are getting into. This can be both calming and nerve-wrecking. You are in a position to know exactly what marriage entails and / or does not entail. With a 2nd marriage/3rd marriage, you most probably have very little, if any, ‘happily ever after,’ ‘lifelong honeymoon’ and ‘bed of roses’ mentalities or expectations.
SECOND MARRIAGE: AVOID REPEATING PREVIOUS MISTAKES

While the experience and the ‘been there, done that’ attitude, that comes with being in a second marriage could be invaluable, it is important to recognize that no two marriages are the same. You are not marrying your ex-husband or your ex-wife for the second time; this is a new partner and challenges you encounter in this relationship may differ from those you encountered with your ex.
The common denominator here is you. If you find that your new spouse is raising the same concerns that your ex raised while you were together, take that as a warning sign and try to deal with those issues. At least now you know they are real.
Whatever you do, do not bring the past into this new union. Do not look back. “Looking back strains the neck muscles and causes you to bounce into people not going your way.”
