Kirshman, Robert John
87, of Mesa, AZ passed away on January 10, 2013. He was born in July of 1925 in Linden, MI. to the late Fred and Ruth Kirshman. On June 19, 1948 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Blazier and remained married for 62 years.

Robert was a decorated World War II veteran and a member of our greatest generation. Robert moved his family to Scottsdale, AZ in 1959 and worked for Motorola until retiring after 30 years of service. Bob was a very talented hands-on craftsman. Not only had he built several homes, he was active in woodworking, jewelry making, stained glass creations, motorcycling and even taking some flying lessons and later flying R/C airplanes.

After retirement, both Bob and Carolyn enjoyed traveling, ocean cruises and visiting with friends and family. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn and eldest son, Michael and survived by his 4 children, Patrick, Peter, Christopher and Kimberley, 20 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren. Bob will always be remembered as a father, dad, foster dad, grandpa, grandpa-great and a dear friend with a wonderful sense of humor. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. In lieu of funeral services, there will be a celebration of his life at the family home in Mesa, AZ on January 19, 2013 from 11AM to 3PM. During this difficult time, we would like to extend our thanks to the caring staff of Hospice of the Valley. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude and thanks to all who have helped out during this difficult period.
