Tips and reviews of Internet dating sites

Internet dating: Dating sites reviews, information and tips

With online dating being more and more preferred to conventional dating, the net is fuming with internet dating websites. As dating web sites increase, so does the junk. How do you tell which sites are reputable/genuine or trustworthy? Which ones are worth the trouble?

Dr. Phil McGraw has helped the internet dating site, Match.com develop a program that helps users understand themselves, and their needs better by stimulating their thoughts/perceptions of themselves. This site is, according to Dr. Phil, America's best dating website. The program is available when you join the dating site.

Cutting out the junk and getting the best out of internet dating: Tips

A lot of people have found true love on the Internet and if used correctly, it can be a powerful way to screen and meet the right person. Remember that predators are everywhere and you are no more safer meeting someone at the park than you are on the net. You should screen everyone you meet regardless of where or how you met them. Check these tips from Internet dating sites:

1. Do create a separate e-mail account for this purpose

2. List your cellphone number, not your home number

3. Use a screen name or your first name and never give more than your first name. Don't give out personal details.

4. Pictures are worth a thousand words, but do not show too much skin.

If you won't be seen on the street or in a mall/any public place wearing those clothes, then it isn't the right picture to post. Also post pictures that say something about you; if you love tennis, post a picture of you playing tennis.

5. Your headline should be a grabber and should be followed by your profile, which should include things that you enjoy. Keep it light and simple though. Don't forget to run spell-check.

6. When you meet, do it during the day. Meet in a public place and preferably do take a friend along.

7. Ask questions and listen carefully & attentively!
